Way back when I was pursuing my MA in whole fooods nutrition at Goddard I came across research supporting the argument that eating meals together as a family decreased childhood obesity, decreased the liklihood of drug and alcohol abuse and increased academic performance. The research was published in the peer reviewed journal American Journal of Clinical Nutrition This Huffington post article is well written and easier to read than peer review research :)
